Dexter Morgan, portrayed by Michael C. Hall, is a fictional character who first appeared in the TV show Dexter (2006-2013) on Showtime. He is a complex figure, working as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department while secretly leading a double life as a vigilante serial killer.
Orphaned at a young age after witnessing his mother's brutal murder, Dexter was adopted by Miami police officer Harry Morgan.
